  • Public records, resolutions and ordinances, and other information can be requested by submitting the Records and Information Request Form to the Open Records Officer. Requests can be emailed to office@drumoretownship.org. See Open Records/Right to Know on Home Page for more info.

  • The Township Administrative Office has hours on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or by appointment) with the exception of holidays, business meetings, seminars, and severe weather conditions.

  • Drumore Park no longer accepts reservations for the Park. There are 2 pavilions and a ballpark available for use on a first come first served basis - the Eshleman pavilion, which is located on the left side of the park, and the Douts pavilion, which is located on the right side of the park. The ballpark is located on the other side of the creek and can be reached by crossing the footbridge.

  • Contact the utility company (PPL Electric Utilities) or trash removal service (Econ and Cauler are the Township's registered haulers) directly to make arrangements for service.

  • The Township Roads and Park Department's current schedule is Monday to Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the exception of holidays.

  • According to PennDOT, large animals, such as deer, bear, and elk, are the responsibility of the Game Commission. If these or any other dead animals are found on a state road or bridge, the local PennDOT office should be contacted and arrangements will be made for their removal.

    ROAD-KILLED DEER should be reported directly to the region office that serves the county where the animal is located. A variety of entities handle road-killed deer removal throughout the state and the region office can clarify the proper authorities to notify based on the location of the animal. CONSUMPTION PERMITS for deer and turkey only: Residents can pick up deer and turkey only for consumption purposes and must obtain a permit within 24 hours. Consumption permits are issued from region offices. Call the region office that serves the county where the animal is located, directly. Region office contact information can be found below.

  • Drumore Township does not currently have a residential open burning ordinance. Please refer to the following fact sheet for more information on residential burning or visit PA DEP's website.

  • The term setback means the required distance separating a building or structure from a property line. Setback regulations for buildings are included in the Zoning Ordinance (Article 403). If you have any questions, please contact our Zoning Officer @ 717-786-0355.

Next, look up the permitted uses for your zoning district. If your use is not listed in the permitted use section, check the conditional use section to determine if your use requires a Conditional Use Permit.

You have the ability to search records and electronically recorded documents. Additional information about the site is available at www.LancasterDeeds.com.   • Drumore Township assesses taxes on real estate. The current tax millage rate is 0.900000 (for a property with a base assessment of $100,000 the base tax would be approximately $9.00). Each property owner is mailed a municipal tax bill by March 1 of each year. If your taxes are in escrow with your Mortgage Company or Bank, it is your responsibility to forward a copy to them for payment. If you do not receive a bill, it is also your responsibility to contact our Municipal Tax Collector, Linda Martin, @ 717-548-2392 to receive a copy of your bill. 

    If there is an address change, or you have a question concerning your assessment, please call the Lancaster County Assessment Office at 717-299-8381. The County’s current tax millage rate is 2.911.

  • The current local earned income tax rate is 1.65% for residents and the Political Subdivision Code (PSD) is 361603. This tax is required to be withheld by employers from the earned income of each employee and remitted to a local tax collector appointed by the municipality and school district (Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau). The School District receives 1.15% of the tax and the Township receives .5%. Self-employed individuals are required to make estimated quarterly payments for earned income taxes due. Annual tax returns are required to be submitted to the LCTCB by April 15.

  • Real Estate transferred within the Township is subject to a 2% tax on the value transferred. The State receives 1%. The Township and School District share 1%. Transfer tax is collected by the Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds.

  • The Solanco School District assesses taxes on real estate on a July 1 to June 30 fiscal year basis. The 2024-2025 tax millage rate is 12.7604 (for a property with a base assessment of $100,000 the base tax would be $1,276.04). Tax notices are mailed to property owners on or about July 1st of each year. The taxes are collected by the Solanco School District. If you have any questions, call 717-786-8401. Unpaid taxes are turned over to Portnoff Law Associates for collection.
